Digester

PRI Digester Units are used to treat waste tissue generated in all animal treatment research facilities.

PRI has two field proven equipment solutions to tissue/caustic digestion; the caustic digester unit and the thermal tissue digester. Each approach has different benefits; the analysis of the application will determine which equipment solution and what size is most appropriate. Volume processing size is from 30 lbs. to 10,000 lbs. For the majority of applications, the Thermal Tissue Digester technology is the desired system because of its unique and patent pending design.

The caustic digestion process is well known, dating back to the 19th century in a patent issued to Amos Hobson in 1888. Alkaline hydrolysis has filled the need for a cost effective, safe, alternative to incineration or specialty landfill disposal.

Common Design Features:
  • Bio-Seals for Containment Environments
  • Hydraulically Operated Cam-lock Lids
  • ASME Construction
  • Batch Reporting
  • Skid Mounted or Through the Floor Designs
  • Worldwide Sales and Service
The Thermal Tissue Digester model offers a revolutionary advancement in tissue disposal operation by using agitation and heat to break down tissue with alkali to amino acid chains.

Batch Report

PRI's technology provides "Proof of Process" to assure everyone that all possible steps are being taken to protect their safety and the environment.
The Batch Report includes: Batch number, date, and time

Load volume

Graph of the process' pressure, temperature, and time
Pass-Fail indication
The system software automatically prints a report of the process and creates a PDF file.
Batch Reports are an exclusive feature of PRI.
