PRI's CausticDigester™ Units provide liquid discharge with elevated BOD. Remaining basket contents are limited to bones, metallic objects, and cellulose based material.

Process Description

The process is a combination of water, caustic, and heat to create the environment for hydrolysis to occur. The system is compliant with EU, US, and other standards for the inactivation of prions and destruction of all known pathogens.

It converts animal matter, with the exception of bones, in one operation by recirculation of the caustic laden liquid until all the tissue is reduced from protein to its compound amino acids.

PRI’s Caustic Digester Units provide liquid discharge with elevated BOD.  Remaining basket contents are limited to bones, metallic objects, and cellulose based material.

Batch Report

PRI's technology provides "Proof of Process" to assure everyone that all possible steps are being taken to protect their safety and the environment.
The Batch Report includes: Batch number, date, and time

Load volume

Graph of the process' pressure, temperature, and time
Pass-Fail indication
The system software automatically prints a report of the process and creates a PDF file.
Batch Reports are an exclusive feature of PRI.
